"As a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have been able to strengthen my personal testimony that I know that He knows us, I know He loves us, and I know that He lives. Through life we all go through different challenges, personal trials, and difficult hardships: times when we may feel that we have nowhere to go and no one to turn to, but I know that He is always there and that He will always love us. This, along with countless other reasons, is why Jesus Christ is important to me. He always knows what we are going through because he has been there before. He gave everything for us so that He can know us. I love Him and am forever grateful for His sacrifice. I know that my redeemer lives…."
-Elder George Nielsen.
Elder George Nielsen is having an amazing experience in Tampa Florida. We are anxious to receive an e-mail form him every Monday & are excited to talk to him in two weeks, on Mothers Day! We love hearing from him & we love seeing how his testimony has grown from serving the Lord for these past few months. We are able to feel his strong spirit & testimony through the messages he sends.
Just a quick update.. George has been out for exactly 4 months and 4 days, definitely can't tell we are missing him AT ALL, trust me, the countdown has already began!! He is speaking Spanish and is LOVING it! His Spanish is going well and he know that the Lord has truly blessed him. He has written "even though I know the Lord has blessed me with the gift of tongues, I have been trying to do more than my part."
George has also had the opportunity to baptize a sweet 14 year old boy named Walter. What a wonderful experience this was for him and his companion. George has not only been blessed to have one companion but TWO, due to the shortage of spanish speaking missionaries in his specific mission.
Well, there is nothing but "AMAZING" happening in his life right now as well as ours, I know that as a missionary not only he is being blessed but from his service to the Lord our whole family is being blessed.
We love you Elder George Nielsen & couldn't be more proud of you! XOX
